Black Leg Sanji, of the Straw Hat Pirates

(time for some character and time paradoxes! and this is slightly altered to the original application post.)

For as long as he could remember, Sanji had been on the French-built flute, "Le Concorde de Bordeaux" as a kitchen-hand and servant to the officers. When returning from a trading expedition, it was attacked and captured by Capt. Red Leg Zeff, and his lieutenant Marshall D. Teach. Not long after this, Zeff decided to retire and gave the ship to Teach (who renamed it "The Queen Alvida's Revenge"), but decided to take the young Sanji on as an apprentice chef, as his character and spunk had impressed him. Over the next nine years, Sanji lived on the floating restaurant "The Baratie", learning to cook and fight in a variation of Savate, where the hands weren't used for fighting, only balance.

It was a hard life, but he soon grew to view Zeff as the father he never had. One day, however, a old rival came upon them and attacked the ship. Zeff was now too old, and his leg too crippled to fight properly, and Sanji -a while fiercely strong - was only one man against an entire ship. A (very) small crew who was dining on board at the time, however, helped fight off the attack. After this close call, Zeff decided he would stay closer to the shoreline from now on, and Sanji joined the fledgling Straw Hat crew.

While docked in an Mediterranean port, the crew had been suddenly set upon by the Royal Navy. They were forced to split up, and to find some way of hiding themselves - even on their own, each member had quite the reputation (although, he would've loved to have been able to hide away with Nami the navigator). While doing a bit of pickpocket-ing, he found an invitation to Albergio Chiaro. Since it was nearby, and he had always held an interesting in getting some form of education, he subtly changed the name on the paper, and made his way over...


And another thing - about his left eye, which is always covered up by his hair, let's just say there was an accident when Zeff attacked the French flute, and... yeah. It will take a lot for Sanji to let someone see under the hair.

um... in case you haven't worked this out, this is a RP JOURNAL. Sanji isn't a real person - he is a character from an anime series. And also, this representation of him does not follow what occurs in the series.
